How To Make The Chicken Cookies

Here's the recipe for the Chicken Cookies...

In a slightly oiled pan, fry 1 cup of minced chicken. For those that we made, we have used the whole pack of minced chicken that we bought with an additional 3/4 cup. Fry till cooked and leave aside.

Preheat oven to 350°F.

In a mixing bowl, beat one egg with 3 tablespoons of sunflower oil and 1/2 cup chicken stock. Mix them up well.

Add in 1 cup oatmeal, 2 cups of whole wheat flour and the cooked minced chicken. Mix well.

Then knead the dough until it's firm.

Roll it out into the desired thickness and cut with your favourite cookie cutter. We would have used the bone shape cookie cutter but we don't have that.

Place the cut cookie in a lightly greased baking sheet and bake for 15 to 20 minutes depending on your oven.

Ours are baked for 20 minutes.

Aunty Diana tasted them. They are not so tasty for human consumption since no salt or any flavouring is added but they are healthy for us, doggies.

Remember to store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Happy Baking!

Ooh...thanks for sharing the recipe! Would it be possible to not cook the chicken first? Mom figured since it's going to bake in the oven, cooking the chicken before baking is sort of 'over-cooking' it. But then,I think it's just Mom...LOL! The cookies look SOOOO yummy! Your Mom & Aunty Diana are very good at making cookies, Santa!

Scottie, the chicken need not be pre-cooked but the cookies may not keep long. Since the cookies are given to us as treats, they may take a bit longer for us to finish them.

Santa-

Your aunt has outdone herself once again. Mom is looking forward to baking these for us over the weekend; she just got a dog cookie cutter and was looking for a reason to use it.

We've missed visiting you and Minnie but hope that mom will get back to her real job! Blogging for us! hehehe
