What is that red stain in our bath towel?
Blood stain? Who is bleeding?!Can you see my toe nails there? Do they look long? Aunty Diana think they do!
So she decided to try this nail cutter to cut my nails as she thinks it'll be faster than the nail grinder. She tricked me into letting her cut my nails by giving me a treat. Then she cuts too deeply and blood was oozing out from my toe nail.
That's my toe nail that was cut too deeply.
Aunty Diana used cornflour to stop the bleeding.
I was a good girl, I did not cry. Aunty Diana didn't even know that she has cut too deeply until she saw blood in her hand!
She was feeling so bad that she has hurt me and promised that she'll never use that nail cutter on me again. This nail grinder is safer because it grinds away very little of our nails each time and that makes it slow and we don't have all day for our nails to be done. So it's like we'll have a pedicure everyday!

Woof! Woof! Ouchie ... My dad uses a very similar (old school) device as the Paw Grinder. Yes it is much safer. Take care. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
Ouch! The Grinder does look much safer. Mum always takes me to the vets to get my nails cut cos she's scared of that happening. Take care.
Lotsa Licks

Mom says that is why she lets the vet do our nails. She worries about cutting too short too. We are so glad it was just a nail, and not anything more serious.
Your Aunty is a very good nurse.

Oh dear Pinkie, now I know why Gail says she is pleased my nails are not black but sort of translucent. Much easier to tell how far back to cut, apparently.
Sound like Auntie Diana is going to be quite busy keeping all your nails in trim with that grinder thingie.
Toodle pip!
Bertie,
the grinder is so much better...we use it on our guys too....those clippers always seem to draw blood...
You poor baby. She's fired

Ouchie, Hurtie! Grinder looks like the way to go.
We go on long walks on pavement to keep our nails trim.

Owie, I know that Aunty Diana felt bad for that! I'm glad it's all better.

Ouch! There is nothing I hate more than getting my nails trimmed!

Hi, Pinky!
Ouchie!
Glad your nail is no longer bleeding!
My Vet is the one who does my pawdicures! My mom is soooo afraid of doing it!
Take care
Kisses and hugs

Bless your HEART! I made one cut on Remus's toe nail and it bled for 15 mintues. I was stick to my stomach. So sick, I had to take them to get their nails clipped after that.
poor little fella.... :)
The trials of having black nails! Same thing happened to me - I didn't even flinch when mum cut me - she thinks she must have JUST nicked the end of the quick! Didn't bleed for long - but I was very curious about the blood smell. I go to the groomers now for clipping! I know I wouldn't allow a grinder near my nails!! Tail Wuggles, Rubie.
Hey, where did you get that grinder? My hoomie Melissa has been wanting to get one of those for us. Well actually, she did get one for us from China called PediPaws but it is lousy. She is thinking of chucking it. She thought of getting the grinder used for grinding wood (will work just as well) but if she can get one like yours that's made for pets, it would be better. Would you care to let her know where you got yours?
BTW, my hoomie Melissa has accidentally cut our quick many, many times & that's why we're beginning to get very nervous during nail trimming time. I would prefer to get my nails grinned then to get cut with the evil nail clipper.
Ohhh that hurts my mama's tummy. I have black nails too. That's why Mama let's groomer do my nails. She's scared she might cut too close. I also wiggle a lot too!
Glad it didn't hurt you. I think it hurts our Humans worse than us. They love us and don't want to hurt us. Give Auntie lots of licks to make her feel better.
Opie
OH, what a brilliant idea! A pet nail grinder! Would you mind telling my human where you got yours coz maybe she can get one for me too? I have REALLY HARD nails and they're black too and she never knows how much to cut and yes, she's done the same thing to me too once - and she didn't even realise either until she saw the blood!
Does the grinder make a scary noise? I'm a bit of a chicken when it comes to machines with scary noises, like vacuum monsters, but if you puppies can do it, then so can I!! :-)
