The Pet Salon/groomer recommended us this...a pet nail grinder! The label states NO NEED TO USE NAIL CLIPPERS. Isn't that great? That opening is where you place your nail.
But it can be used without the cap.
We don't mind having our nails trimmed with this, all except Jingle Bell. Aunty Diana has been trying it out with her for some time and Jingle Bell finally gave in with some treats and encouragement. This nail grinder gets very little off our nails but we don't mind it as it doesn't hurt like the clipper does.

Now we'll have our nails done at home....EVERYDAY! Can you believe that?!

Woof! Woof! Mmmm PAW Nails. My dad does it ... the old fashion way kind a similar to that as seen on TV nail grinder. Thanks for the demo ... Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
We only trust our groomer with our nails
We get our nails done at the vet every two or three weeks. Our Mama bought a PediPaw thing but we were scared of it! :(
Hi girls - now, FH is quite envious of you all getting DAILY manicures! We have to say that Jingle Bell seemed VERY comfortable with the grinder what a good girl, and Pinky was almost dropping off! You girls are so well behaved - Aunty Diana should be very proud of you. Schnauzer snuggles - JD and Max.
That grinding noise doesn't bother you? Maybe we will try it
Snuggles,
Benny & Lily
My people are scared of doing my nails for fear they will cut my quick. I get mine done when I go to the groomer.
Nubbin wiggles,
Oskar
That is a cool thing. We have one but after Mike tried to use it on me he decided the regular way worked better for us....I don't mind at all!
Our daily walks are mostly on the road or concrete path, so our nails stay short. Kendra and I have to have our dew claws done every once in awhile. We just suffer through it.
XXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella
I HATE getting my nails trimmed and always make a big stink! I will have to try one of these grinders.
Your pal, Pip
You are sooo cool and calm while having your nails grinded!!! I give my mum real grief, squirm and wriggle and LEAVE when nail cutting is contemplated here. She, in desperation, also tried a rotating buffer on me - BUT THAT JUST FREAKED ME OUT!! It's a battle. Mum is wondering if I will ever get nice and calm like you guys! Tail Wuggles, Rubie.
Yikes, just the word grinder makes us cringe. We have our nails by the vet tech. We aren't crazy about it, but they seem to know what they are doing and it is over with so quickly. Looks like your humans have figured out how to use that thing. So if it works, then why not?

My boys both hate having their nails clipped. Shiver chews his nails though so I don't usually have to worry about trimming them down.
Chico puts up a fight every single time. Honestly, I think it's more because he doesn't like his paws being held. I try to keep them short on my own but whenever we go to the vet, for whatever reason, I always make sure they cut both boys' nails.
My mom bought one of those things for my nails. I am still going to see my Vet for my pawdicures! Hmmm...
Kisses and hugs

That's a good idea. The one time I took Aschiuta to the vet to have her nails cut, the vet cut too deep and she was crying and her little nails were bleeding.
A grinder sounds like a good idea, I'll try something like that too.
I've always wondered about this grinder, I've seen it advertised. Thanks for the info-mercial!
