All We Want For Christmas

Remember this guy? His name is Bobby.
He was a neighbour's dog and has been Beckham's walking partner. We have always wondered how his owner can let him out on his own. Each time after his walk with Beckham, he would just linger about outside our gate and Mummy, thinking he didn't know his way back, would led him home.
About a month ago, while driving to the shops, Mummy spotted him lying by the roadside. She stopped and checked with some people working in the shops nearby to see if they have seen what had happened. They told Mummy that Bobby was fighting with some stray dogs and was knocked down by a car.

Mummy managed to get help from a vet who stays in the same area as us, a Dr Chia and her husband. They immediately took Bobby in their car to her clinic with Mummy following behind. Bobby has cuts on his back, a broken right hip bone and a dislodged left hand. He has not been able to stand because of that.

Mummy went to inform Bobby's owner what had happened to Bobby. The cheek of the owner! He said he has not wanted him anymore (even before the accident). That's when we knew why Bobby can be out on his own. Mummy gave him a long "lecture" but it was really a waste of time and energy! When Bobby was a puppy, they took him because he was cute and cuddly but now that he is grown and not cute and cuddly anymore, they have been trying to abandon him but each time Bobby found his way home. He refused to take him back now!

Bobby has been in Dr Chia's clinic ever since. It has been almost a month now and Bobby is now able to stand and walk but not for too long. It may still be painful for him and he walks with a limp.

Dr Chia has asked Mummy to take Bobby home as her clinic will be closed for the Christmas holiday. Now, where can Bobby go?
Where am I going home to?

Dr Chia's husband saying goodbye to Bobby.
Thank you, Sir!

Bobby is on his way...
We are so glad to see him. Beckham, Minnie and I welcomed him home!
Hey, Bobby boy, you can stay with us!
Yes, yes, and we can walk together again. I'll slow down for you to keep up.
Let me see where it hurts...
Does it hurt here? No? Not this leg? It's your right hip?
And left hand? Yes, it's still swollen there.
Dr Chia said you need to walk a little but don't overwork it.
Mummy said we are fostering him till he is fully recover and until a good forever home is found for him. For now, we want to thank Dr Chia and her husband for all that they have done for Bobby. They are so kind to charge Mummy the medical and all at cost but still, almost a month's stay at the vet's.

There's another kind soul that we need to thank, that is Uncle Stanley of Kuan Pet Salon. He has made a donation towards Bobby's medical bill. Thank you, Uncle Stanley. What you have done meant a lot to us!

All we want for Christmas is for Bobby to find a forever home!!

Oh Santa, Minnie and Beckham - your mommy is just the best! It makes us so angry that people just want to throw away a dog when it's no longer a puppy - grrrr! And Bobby is so adorable - we're glad that he's got a great foster home for Christmas and we hope he finds the furever home that he deserves.

Happy Christmas to you and your wonderful family - JD and Max.

Stories about people abandoning their pets make me so ANGRY! Bobby may not be so little anymore but he's still cute and I bet he still likes to cuddle once in awhile. Your neighbor doesn't deserve to own a pet. Bobby deserves a better life!

Thank you for fostering Bobby. I wish him well.

Coming over from PBU. I really like the blog design, it's very festive.

What you did for Bobby is really nice. Shame on his former "owner"... We don't just throw our kids out of the house when they grow up and aren't so cute and cuddly anymore...

Merry Christmas!

I hope Bobby finds a forever home and somebody gives Bobby's old owner a good kick where it hurts most! That is so mean. Why do peopld do that. Bobby seems like such a nice doggy. Just not fair, not fair at all. I will send good healing thoughts to Bobby so that all his boo-boos go away. You are so nice to take care of Bobby!

By the way, I'm part schnauzer. I'm a snorkie. Mama loves my long schnauzer nose. Come see me on my blog.

Your Pal,
Opie
Happy Blog Hop!

Is Bobby licensed to his owner? Report him to the police. Sue him for the medical costs. Man, I'd hate people if it weren't for people like you!
