Hello to all Santa's blog followers and friends,

This is me, Diana, the author of this blog. It has been a long time since I've last written a post for this blog. It seems that I have abandoned this blog but no, it was just that I have been a little "confused".

I started this blog in 2008 as a diary to record Santa's activities with lots of pictures. Santa was my sister's first puppy that I helped to doggie-sit during the week. (Read about it here)

So much has happened since then, Santa and Minnie have moved to live with Cindy (my sister, the furbabies' Mummy), and Christmas and the girls are with me.

As Santa doesn't live with me anymore, I am not able to keep a diary of her, as what this blog was intended for. I'll have to leave this blog just for Santa and Minnie and I'll be starting a new one for Christmas and the girls that are with me. However, that does not mean the end of this blog. Occasionally, I may do an entry in Santa's diary.

As for the new blog, which I have named Four Miniature Schnauzer Girls And A Maltese Boy, is still in the making. Yes, I now have five of them!

Something's wrong with our human! We think she is sick!! She said she is not up to blogging for us. That's the reason that we have not been visiting you. Do you think we should get ourselves a new "secretary" to do the job?

We were awarded the Terrific Teamwork! Award. This award has meant so much to us because it was our first attempt in doggie dancing. We have never dreamt that we can dance too!!

First Day At School

This is the dog park that we always go to. On Saturdays and Sundays, there are dog trainings being conducted here. Yesterday, there were a graduation ceremony and an orientation.

Rocky and I were there for the orientation. We have signed up for the obedience training.

Do you know that there is this big event coming up? It is Honey's Dancing With The Doggie Stars contest!! If you have not heard of it, please do go over to her blog to check it out. It is going to be a fun event because it is not a dance contest for "professionals", it is for newbies like us!

Since we have learned how to choreograph a dance routine from Honey and Hsin-Yi, we have also chosen a new song. You see, we have been dancing to another song earlier, we'll show you that later. With three weeks left, we are now working on the choreography and our dance routine. Hey, we thought this is for newbies! That "choreography" thing sounds professional!!

Updates On Bobby And A Puppy Video

During Christmas last year, we made a wish to find Bobby a new and loving home. Our wish HAS NOT come true yet!

Bobby has been with us for almost five months now and we still HAVE NOT found a good home for him.

Mummy said as time goes by, and as Bobby grows older, Bobby will get very attach to us and it will be more difficult for him to settle in a new home.

What did we do today? Aunty Diana said we have not been doing our dance routine for Honey's DWTDS for a long time now. She wanted us to start doing some practice. After a while, she said we made her tired by letting her do all the moves herself!

Then later, we heard something in our kitchen. A squirrel has sneaked into our kitchen and ate our mango on the dining table! All four of us tried to grab it but it was too fast and it dashed out the back door. It happened too fast for Aunty Diana to grab her camera but she got us on camera sniffing out the place...

We Jingle Bell learned a new trick, watch what we she can do...

Our First Birthday Celebration

What has happened to Blogger? They have eaten some comments left by our friends in our previous post! We know because we have read them in our email and they were there before and now they are gone!

To our friends who have asked about Santa and Minnie's Grandpa, thank you for your concern, he is fine now.

Yesterday, Aunty Diana cooked some eggs and dyed them red! She said they are for our birthday. But why dyed them red? It is a chinese tradition symbolising happiness and renewal of life.

It wasn't May 28 yet but we are having an early celebration! Our brother, Rocky was here.

Our Superheroines

I am taking over the girls' blog today as I want to tell a story of our amazing girls, Santa and Minnie. I have always thought that this kind of story happens elsewhere and not right here at home!

For those who are not familiar with us, you can read a little about our living arrangement here. My sister, Cindy, told me what happened in her home yesterday and I am relating it here.

Yesterday, as usual, she took Beckham and Bobby out for their daily walks.

Santa and Minnie were home with Grandpa and Grandma (Cindy's parents-in-law)...

...and human brother, Ryan, who was doing his homework upstairs. Then Ryan heard the sound of a drinking glass being shattered followed by Santa and Minnie's barkings.
Before he could go downstairs to check out the commotion, Minnie raced up these steps, upstairs to where Ryan was and started barking to him. Minnie has never bark like that before, according to Ryan.
Ryan went downstairs with Minnie to the kitchen where Santa was still barking. There, Ryan saw his Grandpa lying on the floor with a shattered drinking glass! Grandpa had a dizzy spell while making himself a drink and lost his balance, dropped the drinking glass and he fell to the floor. Ryan helped Grandpa up and cleaned up the mess.

We were amazed at how Santa and Minnie acted. What they did was unbelievable! In the past, Santa has alerted Cindy of the boiling kettle over the stove and over-flowing water in the tub but we used to brush it off as a "coincidence".

Now I do believe that they are not "coincidences". Santa and Minnie are our SUPERHEROINES!!

Tricks And Squeals

What have we been up to since our last post? On Saturday, we started learning a new trick. Aunty Diana was surprised that we do not know how to jump onto her lap. She thought it was something that all doggies know to do since Santa and Minnie did it all by themselves!

So she wanted us to learn to jump onto her lap but first she has to learn how to teach us to do it! This is the method she learned on YouTube...

She went a step further wanting us to eventually jump into her arms when she is in a standing position. Maybe it's because I am smaller and lighter, I am the only one who's able to do that at the moment but I am sure Happy and Pinky will be able to do that too with more practice.

Now that we've shown you what we have been doing currently, and counting down to our FIRST BIRTHDAY, here's a video of us, squealing pups at two weeks old.

We Love Our New Bed

We are all very happy with our new sleeping arrangement that we got to show you. Since we got our new bed here, we have marked our spots. Pinky takes her spot next to Aunty Diana's pillow, Happy gladly takes up the space on the right and I, on the left of Aunty Diana. Jingle Bell thinks she got the BEST spot....between Aunty Diana's legs! And she would rest her neck on one of Aunty Diana's legs! Yes, that's how Jingle Bell sleeps every night!!

This was where the puppies slept before, in a playpen set up every night besides our small bed.They have wanted to join us in our bed but our bed was too small for all of them to join us. Furthermore, they were still young and needed to be toilet trained. We must say they have been very good pups as they have never wet their beddings during the night.

We saw on Oscar's blog this simple sweet potato treats. Oscar has it in slices but we thought it would be nice to have them in sticks and Oscar's sweet potato is orange in colour while ours is purple.

After baking for two and a half hours, this is our sweet potato sticks.
Pinky is always the first when it comes to food.

Our New Bed

This is the bed that Christmas shares with Aunty Diana every night.

Jingle Bell, Happy and I will sleep in the playpen that will be set up beside this bed every night. We have so wanted to be in that bed with Christmas and Aunty Diana but they said the bed is too small for all of us!
And today, THAT bed is gone! Something is going on in our bedroom.
What are they doing? Where's Christmas and Aunty Diana's bed?

Unlike some of our friends who get to go to puppy school to learn "obedience", we have our training at home. We have short training sessions with lots of intervals for play sessions....

During our play sessions, we are learning at the same time...we learn to "leap" and "catch".
And we learn some tricks too...

We do "homeschool" like Remus and Riley's human brother and sister.

Look at these beautiful clothes our doggie daddy, Kenji's peep brought us!
How do we look in our new clothes? These clothes are warm.
Are we going to have snow?
Christmas looks like a santarina in this dress except that she doesn't have a hat to go with it.
I'm in this black coat while Jingle Bell wears the leopard-skin pattern coat.

Pinky wasn't too happy with this coat as it is a little bit tight and she couldn't button up. Hey, Pinky, I think you need to go on a diet.
Hey, we are all dressed for winter! When is winter coming?! I don't see any of those white stuff out there. I see them over at our friends', JD and Max, Betsy, Maggie Mae, Mr Pip, The OP Pack, Remington, Casper Bear and many others.

Grooming Routines

I'm Jingle Bell. What am I doing up here? This happens to be our grooming table. It's time for our daily grooming session!

We have to be brushed daily so that our hair will not get matted.
Look at the dead hair that has been brushed and combed out!
Christmas has never had her teeth brushed. The human just realized that we need to have our teeth brushed too!
We are learning to get use to having this "stick" in our mouths.
We are still in the learning stage so the human is making it fast.
Once a week we get our ears clean with this ear cleaner and hair in our earholes will be tweezed out.
Our paws are checked and...
if the hair around our paw pads gets long, they get trimmed.
Our nails are done every alternate day since the nail grinder only trims very little off our nails. This will not be done on the grooming table. We get this done whenever we are resting.
Since we have hot weather where we live, we get our baths twice a week.
On a hot and sunny day, we get our baths outside.
We get dry playing zoomies...
and on the sofa! There's no need for a hairdryer!! By the time the fourth one is done bathing, the first one has already been dried and ready for brushing.
After all that, we get to look neat and clean, soft and fluffy and huggable too!!

Do you want a hug? A kiss? We have FRESH BREATH!!

What's That Stain

What is that red stain in our bath towel?

Blood stain? Who is bleeding?!
Can you see my toe nails there? Do they look long? Aunty Diana think they do!
So she decided to try this nail cutter to cut my nails as she thinks it'll be faster than the nail grinder. She tricked me into letting her cut my nails by giving me a treat. Then she cuts too deeply and blood was oozing out from my toe nail.
That's my toe nail that was cut too deeply.
Aunty Diana used cornflour to stop the bleeding.

I was a good girl, I did not cry. Aunty Diana didn't even know that she has cut too deeply until she saw blood in her hand!

She was feeling so bad that she has hurt me and promised that she'll never use that nail cutter on me again. This nail grinder is safer because it grinds away very little of our nails each time and that makes it slow and we don't have all day for our nails to be done. So it's like we'll have a pedicure everyday!

Happy weighs 6.255 kg...
and Pinky weighs 7.075 kg. She's the heaviest of them all. She was the largest pup when first born.
As for me, I tipped the scale at 6.885 kg.
Am I fat? The humans say I am!!

Fun In The Park

It has been a long time since we last came here to this park.

There were lots of peemail to check out.
Then we came upon this all-black giant. What is he doing?
That's a coconut that he was chewing on.
Then he wanted to be friends. We didn't know what to do, we barked and howled.
His human, the lady with the black top, teased us for howling.
The two giants dived into the pond to retrieve the coconut that was thrown in for them.
The black giant came back with it. Rocky thought he could help.

For once we could bark and bark and bark. We didn't hear our human says "stop barking", "no noise" or "be quiet" which we often hear at home.

Our brother, Rocky was there too...

Then everybody has to go home except for the black giant who was chewing on another coconut that his human got him.

Mummy took us to play going through that tunnel.
We didn't like that tunnel. We didn't feel like we are going through a tunnel.
We did some running behind Aunty Diana. Then it was time for us to go home too!

If we are going to help rehome, we would need more information and so Mummy returned a text message to ask and the reply...
Mummy is really furious at how the sender puts it....or it is going to PAWS soon. We can say bye then.

Mummy has asked the sender if she is the owner or she is helping to rehome but she has avoided answering that question. Whoever the owner is, he/she is very IRRESPONSIBLE to give up an 8 year old dog! Chances of an old dog getting adopted from PAWS is slim. If the old dog is not adopted, what do you think of its fate in PAWS?

We are so cheesed off, we rest our case! WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND!!

OUR SECRETARY got to be kicked in the butt!!

Our friends have given us these awards and she has not helped us acknowledge them! Now, she said she THINKS we got this Stylish Blogger Award from Lavi, CindyLu and the latest, from Twinkie.

There is this other award too, The Versatile Blogger award, that we received from Coco and Tiffy.
Two amazing awards and that SECRETARY of ours have not help us to acknowledge them...hmph!!

For both the awards, we have to link back to the blogs that gave us these awards. Then share 7 things about us that you may not know. I am going to CHEAT a little here. I will just combine the two awards to share our 7 things...since there are seven of us, I am going to share one thing about each of us. Here goes...

1. I enjoy having Minnie as my playmate and companion.

2. Minnie enjoys having me as her older sister.
3. Recently, Beckham gets pain in his joints and he doesn't walk as far or as fast as he used to and it's painful for him to go down steps. His appetite comes and goes. He is now on glucosamine, whatever that is.
4. Christmas has regained her voice (she has been debarked by her previous owner). She now barks as loud as ME but with husky tone.
5. Though Pinky is the biggest puppy (in size) in the litter, she is the BABY of them all! She complains whenever the others bully her.
6. Don't let that face deceive you, she's a bully! That's Jingle Bell.
7. And Happy is the stubborn one! She has a mind of her own.
That's our 7 things! Now to the difficult part...to award other blogs. It is just not easy choosing as we think ALL those blogs that we are following deserve these awards. Who sent us this parcel? It's not our birthday yet!

The sender has sent it out from the US on 10.6.2010, that was October 6, 2010...
and it was cleared by the Malaysian Custom on....
Almost FOUR MONTHS! We thought that it has gone missing but it finally arrived, though very very late!!
Our friend, Betsy's Mummy, has got these for us.
The Kong Wobbler and The Gentle Leader. Betsy's Mummy has also included a pack of chocolate but Aunty Diana said they are not for us! The Gentle Leader is for Beckham. Beckham has been pulling on his leash whenever he sees cats when Mummy walks him. There were a few times when he pulled Mummy to the ground and she had been hurt.
This must be for us then! What is this? How do we use it?

Judge Twinkie has been very hard at work going on her rounds, holding onto her score board, checking on all the contestants. That must be a tough job!! Now I must think of something to help boost her energy.

Jean Pocket Dress

We were blog hopping and came across this blog, Sew DoggyStyle and saw a pretty dress called Jean Pocket Dress. Aunty Diana was crazy over that dress and first thing this morning, she rummaged through the closet to look for a pair of old jeans with back pockets, old t-shirts and a skirt.

With those, she came out with these two dresses. First, she made the one on the right and it turned out a little small for us. Then she made the one on the right, enlarging it slightly.

Since Pinky is bigger in size, she tried on the larger sized dress while Happy tried the smaller one.
